What the job involves

We have a great opportunity to join our vibrant charity as part of our Workplace (facilities) team.

As a 'go to' member of the team, your role is vital in the smooth running of our office and compliance. You'll assist facilities and health and safety administration. As you play a key role, you'll need to work from our London Bridge office.

This is a diverse and varied role. Tasks include assisting completion of health and safety checks and ensuring facilities systems run smoothly. You'll work closely with contractors, order supplies, arrange logistics of work from home equipment and create purchase orders. You'll also manage the security system with guidance from the Workplace Health and Safety Manager.

There will be opportunities to get involved in various projects; including supporting the People Experience Team in inductions of new starters and the Communications Team with office events.

You'll use organisational and administration skills to provide support. This includes record keeping, insight gathering, reporting, and logistics. All tasks to keep us a great place to work - wherever we work, for all our staff.

What we want from you

We're looking for a self-starter with a strong problem-solving mindset to join our team. This role requires proactivity, problem solving and prioritisation skills. You'll need to be comfortable juggling multiple tasks and be a creative thinking using own initiative. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as you'll be interacting with a variety of stakeholders.

Ideally, you'll have experience in a facilities or similar role, with a customer-focused approach. A background in health and safety is beneficial but not required. Qualifications in first aid and fire marshal would be advantageous.

Why work with us?
Every man needs to know about the most common cancer in men - prostate cancer. It's a real and present danger that takes over 12,000 of our dads, grandads, brothers and friends each year.

Prostate Cancer UK is the largest men's health charity in the UK. We have a simple ambition - to stop prostate cancer damaging lives. We invest millions in research to revolutionise testing, treatment and care. We're blazing a trail to a screening programme that could save thousands of lives with regular, accurate tests for all men at risk. And we work tirelessly to spread the word about risk and offer specialist support to people living with the disease.

Work with us and you'll see your efforts pay off as we give men and their families the power to navigate prostate cancer.

Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
At Prostate Cancer UK, we believe that equity, diversity and inclusion are essential to building a strong and innovative workplace that represents, and can advocate for, the communities we support.

It's our ambition to become an anti-racist organisation, and our mission to advance racial equity in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.

We're continuously learning more about the needs of our colleagues, and have three amazing People Networks, sponsored by our Leadership team: Pride, Mind & Body and Multicultural.

Ways of working
