Job Title: Head Chef
Location: Banstead, London
Salary: £13.50 - £14.50 per hour
Contract: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Working Hours: Start and finish times to be agreed during the interview (e.g. 8 AM - 5 PM)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to join their team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality meals for their residents, ensuring dietary requirements are met. This role does not require weekend work, as we have a dedicated weekend cook.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare meals using fresh ingredients, focusing on simple, nutritious recipes
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste
- Collaborate with care staff to accommodate individual dietary needs and preferences
- Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery
- Experience in a nursing home environment is preferred, but not essential
- Strong understanding of dietary requirements and restrictions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
