Job Title: Clerical Officer

Location: North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust

Hours: 37.5 Monday to Friday

Trust Location North Tees Hospital / Hartlepool Hospital - post will be based at Hartlepool, but cross site working may be required.

What you'll be responsible for:

  1. Undertake a full range of administrative support tasks, both within clinical administrative departments and onward and clinic areas as and when required in line with service needs and priorities.
  2. Be fully conversant with and adhere to all work-related policies, procedures and guidelines, ensuring that all work outputs are completed as required and that all related targets and timescales are met.
  3. Use all appropriate technologies and equipment to their optimum functionality to assist in the provision of an efficient, effective and comprehensive administrative service to support the provision of care to patients.
  4. Ensure that any/all work outputs are produced to a high standard of quality that meets all of the organisation's requirements for Information Governance, RMS, and CQC and which is compliant with all associated national, regional and local policies, procedures and guidelines
  5. Participate in all associated training, development and appraisal processes relevant to required duties of this post.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively always complete your role to the highest standard
  3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

Skills:

  • Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Communications skills- both verbal and written
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload
  • Previous administrative experience

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
