We seeking a highly skilled Financial Modeller for a 6-month contract role, working part-time (approximately 2-3 days per week). This is a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in shaping the company's financial future by developing robust financial models to support strategic decision-making and long-term business planning. The role offers flexible working, with one day per week on-site in Devon.
The Role:
As the Financial Modeller, you will be key in creating and refining financial models that forecast operations and ongoing workstreams over the next five years. You will work closely with the Finance Director and engage with key stakeholders to ensure that business cases are comprehensive and aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Modelling: Develop a 5-year financial model, integrating various workstreams and forecasting business impacts.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate across departments to provide financial insights that support key decision-making processes.
- Business Case Development: Improve investment appraisal tools and ensure consistency in tracking financial performance.
- KPI Development: Assist in refining performance metrics to provide better insights into the company's financial health and operations.
- Team Upskilling: Lead initiatives to enhance the team's financial modelling skills and business case development.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven expertise in financial modelling with experience across different sectors
- Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders to ensure financial forecasts align with strategic goals
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial modelling tools
- Strong analytical skills and ability to turn data into actionable insights
- Experience in mentoring or training team members on financial modelling techniques
- Comfortable working in a collaborative environment and solving complex financial problems
