Logistics Co-Ordinator

Your role: As a Logistics Support Co-ordinator, you will support the delivery of providing excellent administrative, customer service & transport planning support.

What you'll do:

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to prioritising health and safety by leading by example and fostering a culture of safety consciousness among all team members.
  • Assist with the planning of transport schedules for Selby, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and meeting production targets.
  • Coordinate and book daily deliveries, liaising with customer service, sales and transport to promptly resolve any issues with deliveries.
  • Create and maintain key business records, including delivery schedules and associated documentation.
  • Manage logistics in SAP, including creation and amendment of load data, invoice processing, and updating of vehicle and fuel information. Ensure data accuracy and efficient use of the system.
  • Record and monitor haulier costs in the sites transport system and maintain records using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Generate and distribute delivery reports, maintaining updated schedules.
  • Review, verify and process invoices, liaising with the accounts department to ensure timely payment.
  • Work closely with the Transport Manager to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to delivery performance are met.
  • Contributing to the continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency of the department.

What we're looking for:

Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment, with a comprehensive understanding of transport processes.

  • Proven Administration, and diary management skills in a customer focused environment.
  • Experience of working within a transport and/or logistics background would be advantageous.
  • Proven problem solving and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and oral.
  • A willing and flexible approach with a 'can do' attitude.
