This exciting electrical technician role would suit a qualified electrical engineer or electrician with experience of low voltage and electrical maintenance within production engineering, process plant, process engineering or live site industries. Electrical maintenance technicians with experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, oil and gas, energy, water, utilities, nuclear, hazardous live sites and refinery process plant industries would be of distinct interest.

The ideal Electrical Technician will have the following skills and experience

  • Good electrical maintenance, electrician experience - worked as a electrical engineer, electrical technician, electro-mechanical technician, electro mechanical engineer roles or similar ideally in Plant, Production, large production process plant or high risk industry or similar
  • Engineering qualifications - apprenticeship trained, NVQ level 3, ONC in Electrical, Electrical, HNC electrical, or electro-mechanical qualifications
  • Low voltage experience- essential
  • True willingness and long term commitment to be trained and developed on instrumentation and high voltage
  • Maintenance experience within the chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, oil and gas, energy water, utilities, nuclear, hazardous live sites and refinery process plant, plant breakdowns or similar live /process plants
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle to get to remote site daily (site based role)
  • Full eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship both now or in future
  • Experience / knowledge of DSEAR / ATEX regulations, HV, High Voltage electrical systems, HV pressure lines is desirable but can be trained

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the purpose of this I&E maintenance technicians role is to carry out corrective (non routine) and preventative (routine) electrical & instrumentation maintenance, modifications and assisting operations at the production facilities.
