About Us:

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality art lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
- Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviour and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes creativity, academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive support.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Engage with parents and caregivers to provide regular updates on student progress and promote a collaborative approach to education.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs.
- Proficiency in de-escalation techniques and behaviour management.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of SEMH best practices and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to the welfare and development of each student.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
