LAMINATION & SPOT VARNISHING OPERATOR

SHIFT 1: MONDAY - THURSDAY: 06.00 - 14.00 & 06.00 12.30 FRIDAY

SHIFT 2: MONDAY - WEDNESDAY: 14.00 - 00.00 & THURSDAY 14.00 - 23.20 (THREE DAY WEEKEND OFF!)

£23,400 to £31,200 PER ANNUM

People Solutions are looking for an experienced Lamination and Spot Varnishing Operator for our client in the food packaging sector.

This role involves operating Binoffer and Sakuri lamination machines to produce high-quality laminated products.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling print, setting up, and running lamination machines.

We are looking for someone with a consistent work history, who can hit the ground running and contribute immediately to the business.

Day to Day Duties

  • Machine Operation
  • Set up, adjust, and operate Binoffer and Sakuri lamination machines according to job specifications
  • Ensure proper alignment, adhesion, and quality of laminated products
  • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on lamination machines to ensure optimal performance
  • Quality Control
  • Inspect laminated products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements
  • Identify and correct any defects or inconsistencies in the lamination process
  • Maintain detailed records of production runs and quality inspections
  • Efficiency and Productivity
  • Optimize machine settings to maximize efficiency and minimize material waste
  • Meet production targets and deadlines consistently
  • Collaborate with the production team to streamline processes and improve output
  • Safety and Maintenance
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
  • Conduct routine checks and preventive maintenance on machinery
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Keep detailed logs of machine settings, production outputs, and maintenance activities
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about any issues or improvements needed
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a Lamination Machine Operative, specifically with Binoffer and Sakuri machines
  • Strong background in handling print and understanding of lamination processes
  • Demonstrated ability to set up and run lamination machines efficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot defects and inconsistencies
  • Good manual dexterity and physical stamina, as the role involves standing for extended periods and handling materials
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues quickly
  • Basic computer skills for recording production data and reporting
  • Own transport is essential due to shift times and location

Desirable Experience

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
