Accounts Manager

Malvern £30,000-£33,000p/a

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Accounts Manager to join their team. They are looking for a dedicated professional eager to make a decisive impact on the organisations financial management and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Accounts Department, including the management of a team of three staff members.
  • Maintain and manage year-end accounts up to trial balance for 13 sets of accounts.
  • Handle Self-Assessment, personal account records, and liaise with external Accountants.
  • Manage financial processes including sales and purchase ledgers, payment runs, and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain and update loan and mortgage schedules
  • Process payroll for up to 80 staff (salaried, hourly, daily, and weekly), including timesheet verification and pension management.
  • Submit monthly/annual pension records and complete HMRC PAYE submissions.
  • Manage payroll journals, deferred income, interest, and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT and other regulatory filings.
  • Address staff inquiries related to payroll, pensions, and taxes.
  • Oversee holiday records and assist with other administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in financial management and payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of systems such as Xero preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple accounts and schedules.
