The role:

As the Group Reporting Accountant, you will be based at the company's head office in the North East of England, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. This role is central to the company's financial operations, offering a dynamic and varied workload. You will be responsible for the statutory consolidation of the US and UK entities, as well as producing key financial reports and supporting various stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Statutory consolidation of US and UK accounts and preparation of key data for London Stock Market reporting.
  • Providing detailed group management information to the Group Financial Controller.
  • Producing monthly management reports and revenue analysis.
  • Preparing project reports and monitoring costs against budgets.
  • Reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assisting in the preparation of quarterly board reports.
  • Managing the group audit process and liaising with auditors.
  • Preparing financial statements in compliance with IFRS and IAS standards.
  • Assisting with the budgeting process.
  • Line management responsibilities.

The ideal candidate:

  • ACA qualified with at least 1 year's post-qualification experience, looking to make your first move into industry.
  • Experience using IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 36, and IAS 38.
  • Experience in a high-pressure reporting environment and working as part of a team.
  • Demonstrable analytical skills with an eye for detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • A proactive, creative self-starter with commercial acumen and the ability to take on new projects.
