HSE Advisor

Our Client:

Nigel Wright are delighted to be supporting a unique and growing manufacturing business in the recruitment of an HSE Advisor. The HSE Advisor will be based in Gateshead but is also required to occasionally travel to sites nationally.

The Role:

The HSE Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Support the HSE Lead with further establishing a positive Safety culture across the business
  • Liaising with Internal teams to provide professional support and guidance in all HSE activities across headquarters and also multiple UK sites
  • Ongoing management of the HSE Management systems including development, auditing and training
  • Keeping abreast of changing regulatory requirements and supporting the business in remaining compliant at all times
  • Working closely with HR to deliver comprehensive induction training to new employees

About You:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum
  • Previous experience in a dedicated HSE role, within a manufacturing environment is essential
  • Well developed communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and develop a positive HSE culture across the business
  • Experienced with ISO Management Systems, including managing and auditing
  • Based on site in Gateshead with occasional travel required through the UK
