The Graduate:

  • At least a bachelor's degree in a psychology-focused subject.
  • Passion and dedication to the education and wellbeing of SEN students.
  • Commitment to upholding safeguarding processes to protect the safety and security of young people.
  • Some knowledge of additional and complex learning needs and how these can be facilitated and accommodated.
  • Warm, friendly personality as well as a clear, concise communication style.
  • Natural ability to form strong relationships with young people.

The Role

As an SEN Graduate Coach, you will provide 1-2-1 support to an SEN pupil across all aspects of the syllabus to ensure all additional learning needs are nurtured and accommodated. You will build a good relationship with an SEN student and will actively engage in all aspects of school life, whilst upholding school values and principles. Your role will consist of working in close collaboration with teaching staff and tailoring learning materials to meet the individual's unique requirements.
