Shift Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or Electrical Engineer in Wednesfield
Salary: £35,400 - £42,480 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance)
Location: Wednesfield
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or completed apprenticeship required
Acorn by Synergie presents an exciting opportunity for a driven Shift Maintenance Engineer / Technician to join our client's team in Wednesfield.
Applicants must possess welding skills, fault-finding expertise, hydraulic repair proficiency, ability to work with cylinders, read technical drawings, and experience with slitters and presses.
Responsibilities:
Health & Safety:
- Execute activities ensuring risk elimination through appropriate actions.
Planned Maintenance / Breakdowns:
- Adhere to planned schedules for maintenance activities in alignment with engineering practices.
- Maintain and repair processing machinery and ancillary equipment safely and productively to maximise availability at optimal cost.
- Provide feedback on issues/root causes to the Maintenance planning function.
- Maintain clear and concise records for trend analysis and corrective action identification.
- Manage engineering spares and inventory within budget constraints to minimise equipment downtime.
- Flexibly undertake maintenance tasks at short notice to facilitate optimal performance.
Training / Resource:
- Actively participate in personal development plans to enhance performance and contribute to business succession requirements.
- Support operational team members in developing autonomous maintenance practices.
- Deliver training to operators on basic maintenance activities for increased productivity.
Requirements:
- Competent engineer with experience in Service Centre or manufacturing activities.
- ONC or City & Guilds Mechanical or ONC or City & Guilds Electrical qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in relevant engineering discipline, continuous improvement processes, preventative maintenance techniques, and contractor management.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and computer literacy skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Knowledge and application of Continuous Improvement techniques.
