Your new company
A £multi-billion company operating in the healthcare industry is seeking short-term procurement support within the FM Procurement team. The organisation is based in Manchester but they operate on a hybrid working pattern, with just 1-2 days per week required in their modern office space.
Your new role
The FM Procurement Manager will be responsible for supporting the tendering activity within the facilities management space, predominantly on the hard FM side of things. You will also support the Head of FM Procurement with developing sourcing initiatives relating to FM spend. You will work closely with the property and estates teams to establish their spend requirements, and you will strive to deliver optimal value for money for the organisation. Most of the procurement activity will be done through the use of established frameworks, so you will need to be familiar with purchasing from frameworks.
This role is anticipated to last 3-4 months, though timescales may vary depending on business need.
What you'll need to succeed
- An extensive background in FM procurement, ideally gained within the private sector
- Strong commercial acumen
- A confident negotiator with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Stakeholder management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ideally, you will be CIPS qualified
- Available to commit to a minimum of a 3 months contract
