  • Job Type: Temporary with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.
  • Pay rate: £13.00-£16.00 based on experience.
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

HRGO Recruitment are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Assistant to join our clients Finance Department. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable and credit control, with a understanding of financial processes and principles. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment and contribute to the overall success of the finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist with credit control activities, including monitoring customer accounts and following up on overdue payments.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records and reports.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide support to the Finance Manager as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in accounts payable and credit control
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant certification or degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
