Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team. As a key member of our building service consultancy, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects in the residential, commercial, and healthcare sectors. This role offers the chance to take ownership of projects and make a meaningful impact on our clients' success.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of 40 employees to deliver high-quality mechanical design solutions for our clients
- Ensure compliance with UK regulations and industry standards in all design work
- Use CAD, Autodesk, and BIM/Revit 3D to create and develop designs
- Take ownership of projects from conception to completion, ensuring client satisfaction at every stage
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer, preferably in a building service consultancy
- In-depth knowledge of UK regulations and standards
- Proficiency in CAD, Autodesk, and BIM/Revit 3D
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Day-to-Day
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored mechanical design solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Develop and present design proposals
- Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements to continually improve our design processes and deliverables
