Assembly Technician
Offering £14.00 - £17.00 per hour (39 hour week contract) plus Overtime and Benefits.
Our client is an established manufacturer of machinery and equipment, based near York. Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting an Assembly Technician to join their busy workshop. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday - Friday offering flexibility on start/finish times each day. The successful Assembly Technician will receive support, guidance and on-the-job training.
Due to the technical mindset required, someone that is logical and can follow engineering drawings, with a high degree of attention to detail and precision, would be well suited to this position. If you have ever enjoyed building Lego or Meccano for example ... we would like to hear from you!
Assembly Technician - Responsibilities:
- Assembling prefabricated parts for production of machinery and equipment.
- Each machine taking approximately 12 days to build, requires a logical approach, keen eye for detail and ability to think on your feet.
- Follow instructions and technical engineering drawings.
- Checking quality of completed work is to a high standard.
- Clearly communicate with colleagues and management, all relevant information including job briefs, job progress etc.
Assembly Technician - Suitable Candidate:
- Have a technical / engineering mindset.
- Experience of assembling machinery components ideal, however, not essential.
- Be a team player with the confidence to work independently.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Be able to work with no/minimum supervision when required, using own initiative.
The Assembly Technician position is offering £14.00 - £17.00 per hour (39 hour week contract) plus Overtime and Benefits. Based at their site near York, this is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday between 7.30am - 5pm with flexibility.
