Our client is looking for a Credit Hire and Personal injury Solicitor to join their market leading Motor Insurance Company to establish a new in-house legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to join at this early stage and be influential in the future development of the legal operation.

The candidate should be qualified for over five years and have been working within the credit hire sector with a broad understanding of fast and multi-track credit hire and personal injury claims.

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Solicitor to work closely with management and the claims team to support the future success of the business. The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and commercial awareness combined with excellent attention to detail with a drive to deliver a high-quality service.

The role is fully office based, a competitive salary and benefits are available and negotiable dependent upon experience.

Job Description

The vacancy is for a credit hire and personal injury qualified solicitor with at least 5 years' experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Management of litigated Fast track and credit hire and personal injury claims.
  • Ability to manage litigation through to trial
  • To work in conjunction with claims company whilst taking personal ownership for supervision to comply with legal requirements
  • To effectively utilise the company's case management and diary system
  • Responsible for compliance with court directions
  • Preparing trial bundles, court applications and case management conferences
  • Building and maintaining a good relationship with the Insurance and Claims Companies.
  • To ensure cases are run efficiently and the Insurance Company are provided with regular updates on development of cases

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in litigation essential
  • Knowledge of RTA/Credit hire and Personal Injury is essential
  • Ability to meet strict court deadlines
  • Strong focus on client service levels through the court process
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Great attention to detail and able to identify technical defence and procedural points
  • Able to follow instructions of senior staff and comply with internal deadlines
  • Case management software experience
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in working with Damages Claims Portal
