Our global client has a exciting opportunity for a permanent Laboratory Technician to provide practical support within their busy Serology department in West Lothian. The hours will be 8.45am-5.00pm, Monday-Friday.
This position would suit either a graduate (or someone due to graduate this Summer) with a Degree within a Biological Science, or a candidate with relevant Laboratory work experience.
Working as part of a small team you will be involved in carrying out routine testing using ELISA's in a high-volume laboratory ensuring compliance with ISO17025 regulations using standard operating procedures. A good level of computer skills and competent using Microsoft Office is also required.
Required Skills/Lab experience:
- You must have knowledge or experience of ELISA gained at College/University, together with the ability of working to strict deadlines.
- Candidates must also be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as having strong attention to detail.
- An understanding of test quality control and awareness of quality systems, such as UKAS accreditation would be advantageous.
