Recruit Insure currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented and proven Surveyor to join our clients Major Loss Practice team based in London / South. Ideally candidates should be based in London or the Home Counties.
Position: Surveyor - Major Loss Practice
Location: London / Home Counties
Reporting to: Regional Head of Major Loss
Role Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Collaborate with Major Loss Adjusters on technical and quantum matters.
- Reporting and Reserves: Assist Major Loss Adjusters in meeting reporting requirements and setting/monitoring accurate reserves.
- Claim Management: Manage a portfolio of claims, conducting initial visits, and handling them through to conclusion.
- Settlement Negotiation: Investigate, negotiate, and agree on the settlement of claims professionally.
- Liaison: Communicate effectively with insured parties, insurers, and brokers to ensure timely and professional claim resolutions.
- Report Production: Generate reports that comply with professional standards and internal guidelines within agreed timelines.
- Business Development: Contribute to the clients business development programs, identifying and facilitating growth opportunities.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Undertake various projects and other tasks as needed.
About You:
Knowledge and Experience:
- Professional Qualifications: Ideally professionally qualified or working towards professional qualifications.
- Major Loss Experience: Significant experience in Major Loss Surveying or related fields.
- Skills: Strong focus on quality, communication, and organizational skills.
- Negotiation and Problem Solving: Proven capability in negotiation, decision making, and problem-solving.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
- Reputation: A positive reputation within the Broker and Insurer market is advantageous.
Due to the geographic coverage of the role travel will be required.
Salary: Up to£70,000 depending on experience plus car allowance + bonuses
