Quest Search and Selection are partnering with this fast-growing, B2B online Publication within the FMCG, Consumer, Tech & Retail publication.

The business has already created waves in the marketplace utilising new product and events to engage the retail communities.

This company is always on the lookout for great talent in the New Business/Sponsorship space. Here you will focus significantly on building contacts and developing new business relationships across the retail supplier space. To drive sponsorship sales for various events including awards ceremonies, round tables, breakfast meetings and intimate dinners.

The roles and responsibilities of this Account Director (Events) role -

  • Meet or exceed revenue & KPI targets consistently.
  • Researching the marketplace to become a centre of knowledge in all areas.
  • Interacting with clients via the phone, video call and face to face meetings.
  • BD focused utilising LinkedIn, sales navigator, ZoomInfo and lead generation reports to aid your outreach
  • Brilliant listening and questioning skills- understanding our client's explicit business needs and requirements.
  • Creating bespoke and targeted proposals to meet the needs of your clients.?
  • Regular communication with your key clients during the events and the agenda
  • Accurately reporting pipeline / revenue forecasting (from proposals to pitches to signed deals)
  • Making sure return and repeat business and a the forth front of negotiations and proposals
  • Accurate reporting of activity via our Salesforce CRM and to line management.
  • Represent the business at events with a high degree of professionalism in all client interactions.
  • Collaborate with the internal stakeholders include the other Account Directors, Managers, Content & Operations Team.

Experience and skills required for this Account Director (Events) role -

  • 4-5 years + experience in Sales/ Account Management/Business Development within a B2B Events/ Sponsorship setting.
  • You must be comfortable with new business delivery and managing your leads activity.
  • Have worked in a cross-section of commercial events
  • Can bring established contacts, new and innovative products and ideas to the events space
  • Experience in creating business sales plans
  • Experience in being a point of contact for client campaigns and event delivery
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and to maximise profits
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
