We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher for a full-time, permanent position at an independent school in Northampton, Northamptonshire, starting in January. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging History lessons in line with the curriculum for students of varying abilities.
- Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to explore historical events, contexts, and perspectives.
- Support the intellectual and personal development of students through well-planned lessons and effective assessment strategies.
- Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and department meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and school leadership as required.
- Uphold high standards of behaviour, ensuring a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A strong academic background in History with a deep passion for the subject.
- Proven experience teaching History to secondary school students, ideally within an independent school setting.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
