We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a well-respected Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance programme at a SEN secondary school. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs and helping them prepare for their future careers.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the delivery of the school's Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance programme.
  • Work closely with students, providing one-to-one support and group activities to help them understand different career paths and opportunities.
  • Support the coordination of work experience placements and career events.
  • Help students develop key skills for the workplace, such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with teachers, career advisors, and external partners to enhance the careers programme.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and contributing to reports.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages student participation and engagement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within a SEN setting.
  • Strong understanding of careers education and the current job market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
