Principal Category Manager - Reading Area

  • Location: Reading
  • Team based on one of the Winnersh sites
  • Attend meetings as per business requirements.
  • Approx. 2 days per week on-site.
  • Once or twice per month required to travel to London to meet with external support providers. Potential ad hoc travel to workshops/sessions at other client organisations to see different frameworks and share best practices.

Contract Details:

  • IR35: In scope
  • Pay rate up to: £613 per day Umbrella

Top 3 Evaluation Criteria:

  • Experience delivering high-value infrastructure projects
  • NEC/PCR experience
  • Leadership experience/People management

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active DV Clearance (ideal)
  • Or active SC and eligible/willing to undertake DV Clearance
  • Sole UK National
  • 5+ years' experience
  • Experience delivering high-value infrastructure projects (£100 million plus)
  • Commercial strategies and Sourcing strategies
  • Proven experience in developing high-value commercial sourcing strategies
  • Public Contract Regulations (PCR) experience, with an understanding of the governance

Leadership experience/People management:

  • Strong soft skills
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Task managing
  • Stakeholder management

Highly Beneficial:

  • NEC experience

Desirable:

  • Experience in a client organisation, seeing it from that perspective
