An opportunity has arisen for Deputy Manager with 2 years of PQE in residential support work to join a dynamic firm. Our client is a reputable provider of Residential Children's Homes, offering safe and caring environment for young people.

In this role, you will assist the Registered Manager in ensuring compliance with company policies and Ofsted regulations, while maintaining a safe, supportive, and sensitive environment for all residents.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead and manage the children's home, ensuring exceptional care and support for residents.
  • Assist in the recruitment of staff alongside the Responsible Individual and Registered Manager.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to meet statutory requirements and individual plans.
  • Ensure the home operates according to its Statement of Purpose.
  • Oversee staff development through induction, personal development plans, and training programs.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with parents / carers and significant others.
  • Manage medication administration and safety protocols.
  • Share on-call responsibilities with the Registered Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including The Children's Homes Regulations, Children Act, and company policies.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and support other service areas as necessary.

What we are looking for:

  • Previously worked as a Supervisor, Deputy Manager or in a similar role.
  • Level 3 diploma in Children and Young People.
  • Level 5 Leadership and Management in Children's Residential qualification or equivalent, or willingness to undertake this.
  • Understanding of Children's Homes Regulations, Children Act, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and company policies.
  • Proficient in the English language, both verbal and written.
