Sports graduate - Manchester
Are you graduating in Sports with a good classification? Are you looking for work in education?
We are working exclusively with a large Secondary school in Manchester, who are looking for a recent Sports graduate, who may be looking to pursue a career in education or wishing to embark on a PGCE in the future to work in the PE department as a tutor and teaching assistant. The role will start in ASAP, it will be full time.
You will be responsible for supporting pupils within the Sports department in key stage 3 & 4, you will also have a small timetable (these are called intervention groups) where you will provide intensive support to small groups of learners. You will formulate a superb understanding of the curriculum at KS3 & 4, which will bode well for their future studies. You will be supported by outstanding teachers and a strong, highly recognised leadership team.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree educated with a good classification, in a Sports subject
- High grade in English & Maths at GCSE level
- Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) desirable but not essential
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, online training can be provided)
- Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, online training can be provided).
- Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.80.
- Provide a minimum of two professional references covering at least the last two years.
- Provide a history from your education in Secondary School to the present day, with a full employment history.
