About the Role:
As a Housing Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and housing needs of residents in Lancaster, Morecambe, and nearby regions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Tenant Support: Providing advice and assistance to tenants regarding housing issues, rent payments, and maintenance requests.
- Property Inspections: Conducting regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify any necessary repairs.
- Tenancy Management: Managing tenancy agreements, handling lease renewals, and addressing tenancy-related queries.
- Community Engagement: Collaborating with local communities, housing associations, and other stakeholders to enhance the overall living experience.
- Reporting: Maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and contributing to housing-related projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in housing management or a related field is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of relevant housing legislation and regulations.
