GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Science Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated science lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities of a Science Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science lessons tailored to the individual needs of SEN students.
  • Develop and implement individualised education plans.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to support students with a range of learning difficulties.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and fosters a love for learning.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of each student.
  • Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements of a Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching science at the secondary school level.
  • A strong understanding of SEN and experience working with students with diverse needs is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs.
