Holiday Cottage Cleaner required for cottages in the North West Lakes

We are looking for new people and current National Trust staff and volunteers who would like regular hours of work preparing our holiday cottages for our guests. Holidays in the Lake District continue to be very popular all year round. Our cottages set in Millbeck Nr Keswick, Wasdale, Eskdale and the Duddon Valley offer the benefits of working in beautiful surroundings, whilst making a difference to someone's holiday.

Hours: 12 hours per week. The main changeover days are Monday, Friday and Saturday, however, short breaks mean that changeover days can also fall on other days of the week, and you would have the opportunity to work other, additional hours if you are able to do so. No Sundays.

Rotas are issued in advance, and we try to accommodate other commitments where possible. You'll need to be available between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm (there may be flexibility with the finish time if the applicant has prior commitments) and you will need your own transport as public transport is limited. Free parking is available.

Salary: £7,176.00 per year/ £11.50 an hour

Duration: Permanent

Internally you will be known as 'Holidays Operation Assistant'

What it's like to work here

Reporting to the Assistant Manager and under the supervision of the Team Leader, the successful candidate will join a team of three current holiday cottage caretakers helping to prepare our holiday cottages in the area.

What you'll be doing

On change-over days, you'll make sure that everything's clean and prepared for our guests to arrive. This will include making sure the cottage is thoroughly cleaned, well presented and welcoming for our guests. We'd also like you to keep an eye out and report any repairs or odd jobs that need doing along with replacing any broken items from the store supplies.

Full Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) is provided for all teams and additional extensive measures in place to protect staff.
