The Business:
One of the world's leading marketing and advertising agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- End to end ownership of Procurement processes with C.£100m+ in IT spend across SaaS, Infrastructure and Cyber Security. You will lead on their key strategic procurement projects, Microsoft being their largest at c.£50m and then they have a cyber security renewal coming up too. Outside of Microsoft, suppliers might include the likes of AWS and Azure
- You will need to influence stakeholders but in the right way, taking them on the procurement journey and making them feel heard. In this environment, building and nurturing relationships is very important - walk before you can run
- The business need someone to drive efficiency's through their supplier base in this area, e.g. look at say their software subscriptions where there might be 20 different suppliers globally - can you bring these together into one global framework/agreement?
- Supplier relationship management - engage key suppliers to help strengthen and improve their performance and provide transparency to help improve performance and negate any issues with pace
- Drive savings but also align to wider business goals, adding wider value
- Navigate a fast-paced environment, able to cut through the noise in a global business
- Management of a junior member of staff in the procurement team
Key Skills:
- Able to build and implement strategic category plans autonomously
- Experience within the IT category, able to understand the category technically but also have a soft stakeholder approach
- Useful subcategories: SaaS, Cyber Security, Infrastructure/Cloud
- A self starter who is proactive in approach
- Someone who would be able to navigate a fast paced environment
- Strong stakeholder skills, able to drive change and influence decision making
