The Job You'll Do;
- Fabricate and weld components as per technical engineering drawings (MIG & TIG).
- Single and multi-run fillets, burning and grinding.
- Use of hand tools.
- Assessing which welding equipment is required and which method is the most appropriate for a specific welding task.
- Inspecting welded surfaces and dressing them for the best finish.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and instructions.
- Inspecting finished work to verify that it meets specifications.
- Ensuring that safe work practices are followed and adhered to.
About You;
- Experience as a Welder/Fabricator within an Engineering/Manufacturing environment.
- Happy to relocate to Peterhead in Scotland, where the work is based.
- Be able to produce high quality MIG & TIG welds.
- Experience welding mild steel and aluminium.
- Experience of pipe welding would be desirable.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work to tight tolerances.
- Able to work well independently with little supervision.
- Good level of IT skills
