7.5 Tonne Driver Dingwall Temporary for 3 months with possible extension £12.96 per hour Monday-Thursday 7.00am - 3.00pm & Friday 7.00am - 2:30pm
Our public sector client located in Dingwall is looking for a Community Works HGV driver on an initial 3 month temporary basis starting immediately.
Main purpose of the role:
To drive and assist loading for the new food waste service including loading and driving on refuse and recycling collection vehicles and any other duties related to the position. This is a heavily manual role and you will load as well as drive.
Key Duties:
- To drive Refuse/Recycling Vehicles (7.5T) on designated routes and the transportation of waste and the deposition of waste at the appropriate facility
- To provide guidance of the crew working from your vehicle
- Assist loading Refuse/Recycling Vehicles, or other vehicles
- Deliver/uplift waste bins, litterbins, recycling bins
- High level of client facing
- Legal responsibilities for complying with Scottish DVSA rules regulations and laws
- Responsible for the Health and Safety of passenger(s) and overall Health and Safety as that relates to the operation of a vehicle
- Any other work as directed by your Foreperson
Requirements:
- Preferably clean Cat C1 licence
- Current CPC, and Tacho Card
- Good general education
- Proven ability to work within a team environment and proven ability to take the initiative within that environment
- Good communication skills and client facing skills
- Proven awareness of Health and Safety in a dangerous environment
