Base Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 (OTE £65,000 - £80,000 with overtime when travelling) plus travel expenses, company vehicle, and further market-leading benefits

We are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a global leader in machine supply. Due to sustained growth, they are seeking a skilled Installation and Commissioning Engineer - Electrical Bias to join their expanding team.

Key Responsibilities

As an Installation and Commissioning Engineer - Electrical Bias, you will:

  • Install and commission new equipment at customer sites across multiple regions, ensuring a smooth and efficient start-up process.
  • Service and troubleshoot existing machinery to maintain optimal performance and minimise downtime, both electrically and mechanically.
  • Provide technical support and guidance throughout the lifecycle of equipment, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Prepare detailed customer site reports to capture installation and commissioning activities, highlighting any potential follow-up actions.
  • Train customer technical staff on equipment operation, maintenance best practices, and safety standards to ensure longevity and reliability of the machinery.
  • Collaborate with contractors and team members effectively, showing strong initiative when working independently on-site.

While based in the UK, this role involves travel to customers across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region. You can be based anywhere within the UK.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Installation or Commissioning Engineer, ideally within the food production or machinery sector.
  • Strong background in electrical installation, commissioning, and PLCs.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Extensive fault-finding experience with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications and certifications.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally.
