Senior National Accounts Manager

We are excited to announce a rare opportunity to join us at Brindisa as Senior National Accounts Manager. We are looking for someone who will share their unique sales talent to ensure our brand is the leading and best in class supplier of Spanish foods across retail.

This is a principal role within the team, managing our Mults, Online and other elite key accounts. Therefore, we are looking for a passionate foodie, a commercially minded self-starter who is target orientated and takes full ownership in engaging our customers with compelling stories of our suppliers, heritage and Spanish gastronomy to sell with impact. Your focus will be on category growth, increasing profitability and the successful management of our deep and enduring relationships with customers.

We search for, select and sell the very best Spanish foods through our Brindisa shops, website, and via our wholesale business, distributing delicious high-quality products nationwide to Delis, Restaurants, Multiples, Food Halls and Wholesalers throughout the UK.

Key aspects of the job include:

  • Maximising the potential of existing key accounts to grow breadth in category sales.
  • Be the expert for your accounts: identifying opportunities, anticipating challenges in the marketplace and feeding back insights and market intelligence to the wider team.
  • Negotiating and unlocking opportunities to drive sales, exploring product sales and promotional opportunities.
  • Hunt for new accounts/drive new product on shelf (NPD) with other premium retailers.
  • Ownership of key account forecasting, P&L management per account, factoring in NPD and promotional activities.
  • Developing customer JBPs, promo activation plans; monitoring, executing and evaluating - making sure these are live and within budget.
  • Liaising with central head office teams in a 360' manner to ensure the sales agenda is met, and supply and distribution strategies are executed with the highest standards to our customers.
  • Ownership of stock forecast and liaise with buying, technical, warehouse and supply chain teams.
  • Developing and influencing key account relationships in order to maximise sales and drive NPD.
  • Collaborating closely with your peers in the wider Key Accounts and Customer Service Team to ensure seamless supply and service.

This is the perfect role for someone who has:

  • Proven Experience: demonstrable key account management experience and expertise in the food retail, grocery/multi-channel environment
  • Sales Focus: an experienced NAM/SNAM with a proven track record of delivering exceptional sales performance in a high-volume food wholesale environment
  • Account Management: excellent relationship building and influencing skills
  • Commercial Drive: strong commercial acumen, an excellent negotiator who has had full P&L accountability for their accounts and can continually forecast in an ever-changing promotion-led environment
  • Food Excellence: Demonstrates a genuine interest in Spanish culture and food.
  • Team Worker: An agile team player who successfully collaborates and influences internally, who understands and respects the wider company agenda.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong process management and accuracy in forecasting across a number of product and category channels and systems with an eye for detail and rigor.
  • Language Skill: Excellent English communication skills (both written & verbal), with the ability to engage, influence and network both internally and with external partners. A grasp of Spanish would be great but is not a prerequisite.
  • Educational Background: Degree calibre or demonstrable experience in a similar role.

We offer a great working environment:

A competitive salary of circa £55,000 - £60,000 plus a quarterly bonus scheme and is covering the Southern England area.

  • Working hours Monday to Friday between 8am & 6pm
  • Flexibility, primarily office based in Balham with opportunities for hybrid working on successful completion of probationary period
  • 28 days holiday pay, rising to 33 days
