A family-run, close-knit main contractor based in Barking is looking to bring an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor into their expanding team.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of projects, from initial procurement to final account settlement. This role offers involvement throughout the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction stages to final delivery. The position requires strong experience in remeasuring subcontractor work and managing projects with budgets up to £20 million.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor

The incoming Senior Quantity Surveyor will have:

  • A HNC or construction related qualification
  • Previous Quantity Surveying experience with a Main Contractor
  • Capable of independently managing and leading projects
  • Strong commercial insight and negotiation abilities
  • Skilled in creating bills of quantities from drawings and accurately remeasuring subcontractor work
  • Experience managing projects valued up to £20 million
