Join a dynamic and innovative organisation in the truck manufacturing industry as a Facilities and Maintenance Electrician. Our client is seeking a skilled individual to join their Facilities and Maintenance team in ensuring the smooth operation of their production and facilities functions. As a member of their team, you will have the opportunity to work on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance assets, plant, and facilities equipment. If you have a recognised electrical-based trade and well-developed electrical skills within a manufacturing Facilities and Maintenance environment, then this is an excellent opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a variable shift-based team, being flexible with alternative shifts and weekends as required.
  • Support the maintenance team in maintaining production and facilities functions.
  • Perform maintenance tasks individually or as part of a team.
  • Complete necessary schedules on time and to the required standard.
  • Identify and implement improvements to plant and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments/functions on project work.

Requirements:

  • Recognised electrical-based trade with multi-skill ability.
  • City and Guilds or ONC/HNC level qualification in electrical engineering.
  • Ability to fault find on various electrical control systems.
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Competence in conducting electrical installation work.
  • Familiarity with Facilities & Maintenance processes and production critical equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.
  • Preferably qualified to work according to BS 7671 wiring regulations.
  • Preferably capable of conducting electrical inspection and test.
  • Experience with PLC software/hardware is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
