Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

About the Role: Reed are currently working alongside a fantastic primary school in Brampton (Cambridge) We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full time basis from September. This full-time role involves supporting a Year 3 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will provide behavioural support and work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to develop and implement a tailored plan to help the pupil achieve their educational potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a Year 3 pupil with ASD and SEMH needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and class teacher to monitor and adapt support strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the pupil in managing their behaviour and emotions.
  • Encourage the pupil's social and academic development.

Requirements:

  • A valid DBS check on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Experience working with Key Stage 1 (KS1) or Key Stage 2 (KS2) pupils is highly beneficial.
  • A UK address and the right to work in the UK.
