Finance Systems Specialist

A key London University are seeking an experienced Finance Systems Specialist to support the development of the organisations finance ERP, HR and Payroll systems.

The Successful Candidate

This organisation is undergoing a lot of change and therefore It is importaint that the successful candidate has:

  • Experience in Higher Education previously.
  • You must have a background in Agresso Unit 4
  • Experience using the recruiting system HIRESERVE is desirable but not essential
  • You will need to be adaptable, flexible and resilient with a proven ability to manage and engage with challenging stakeholders.
  • Ability to hit the ground running in a fast paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive guidance and support to users, enabling them to utilise the system effectively and maximise potential.
  • You will investigate, manage and resolve incidents, service requests, problem management and scope, plan and deliver developments and change
  • You will respond to incidents, service requests and problems raised via ticketing portal ( HORNBILL ) utilising technical and application expertise to help users and resolve
  • You will carry out root cause analysis of complex issues and design appropriate solutions
  • Investigate and identify improvements and solutions to issues raised by business users
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders and business users
  • Liaise with appropriate business users across the organisation to gather requirements and understand their needs in relation to all aspects of the product development life cycle and roadmap
  • Conduct options appraisals and present information in a clear and effective manner to business decision makers
  • Consult with external support vendors and 3rd parties ( G7 Support/Unit 4 Support) to ensure assigned work is being investigated and detailed resolutions provided within a timely manner
  • Liaise with internal departments and teams to support and resolve issues ( eg Infrastructure, Service Desk)
  • Produce customer documentation and training guides where necessary
  • Provide detailed explanations of problems investigated using accessible language - share with business users and teams so they can further their knowledge and understanding of the system
  • Manage and document end-to-end testing - test plans, UAT testing and scripts
