Finance Director

Chilworth Partnership have been retained by a growing financial services organisation, based in Petersfield, in their search for a Finance Director to help deliver their next phase of growth and expansion. Reporting to the CEO and having complete oversight of the company's financial operations, responsibilities will include:

  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to the Board of Directors.
  • Manage the finance team to ensure payments are made on time and accurately recorded.
  • Structure the finance department for business growth, be able to identify new efficiencies and guide efforts towards improved reporting, finding the right balance between software tools, automation and mentor individual capability.
  • Work with the senior management team on the development and implementation of company strategy, including the preparation of rolling forecasts, budgets and long-range strategic plans, with the objective to increase company profitability and value.
  • Manage the Financial Reporting, Payroll, benefits and other HR functions for the business.
  • Work with external accountants and ensure audit requirements are met.
  • Monitor and manage cash balances and cashflow forecasting across multiple accounts and geographies.
  • Responsibility for FCA reporting.
  • Support M&A activities through acquisition modelling, due diligence and integration support.

You will be:

  • A qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
  • Experienced within an FCA regulated environment an advantage.
  • Focused on delivering the best outcome for a business.
  • Comfortable being hands on within a relatively small but growing business, with the ability to be in the detail whilst also thinking strategically, through to delivery.
  • An effective manager with the ability to develop and nurture teams.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a profitable organisation, to play a key role in defining and delivering their next phase of growth. There will be an expectation to be in the office a minimum of three days a week.
