Requirements:

  • Completed- or completing- a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • At least a bachelor's degree in education, or a related subject.
  • A genuine passion for the education and wellbeing of young learners.
  • Drive to improve attainment levels and support the development of academic and social skills in KS1 pupils.
  • Commitment to following safeguarding processes.
  • Warm and friendly personality and communication style.

The Role

In your KS1 ECT role, you will be completing your induction alongside a team of experienced and nurturing teaching staff who will offer you in-depth support and guidance as you settle into your first permanent role. You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of high-quality lessons that adhere to the national curriculum and creating learning materials that fit the needs of each individual pupil. It is essential in this KS1 ECT role that you maintain a positive school environment by partaking in activities with the wider school community.

Pupils are supported to develop an array of transferable skills which will aid them in their journey through education and beyond. The senior leadership team is searching for a KS1 ECT who will successfully complete their induction under the care of a dedicated staff body and aid in raising the progression levels of young learners as they embark on their journey through education.
