Sales Account Manager

Posted by M TWO Search Ltd..

Refreshingly, this role is a proper Regional Sales role. You'll have a territory, you'll have a customer base and you'll have a load of drive and desire to really succeed.

Totally open on your market sector but sales experience is a must. For you, you'll be joining a packaging & distribution business. The leading (and I'm not just saying that) Manufacturoer & Distributor of products into their industry. Transit Packaging. Should you know a bit about print or packaging then that would be great but if not, and you'd like quick, high-volume commodity type products, then this could be for you.

What you do need though, is the desire to get the job done. You'll have the experience in the bag that you know the benefits hard graft brings, we firmly believe we can't teach you to want to do well in your job, everything else, yes but persistence, drive and ambition, that has got to come from you. That's what you'll need to be a great success here.

As a Sales Account Manager your territory will cover existing accounts, lapsed accounts and a patch full of new prospects. Pretty expansive area which means lots of opportunities for you.

Within your territory, you'll be tasked with evaluating our current customer base. Who's spending with us, what do they buy, what are we good at, what are we not good at and looking for an opportunity to grow and develop relationships through customer service and new product and services introduction. There's more than enough for you to go at that's warm for you but if you will be expected to do new business prospecting too.

You'll be supported by the internal account management team who will do the day to day order taking, processing and logistics. You'll be the face of the business. You'll be out on the road, meeting, greeting, and developing your customer base. A real people person. Determined, driven, relentless but approachable, empathetic, and engaging. When you aren't out and about though, it is important that the relationship is built internally too, so commutable to Birmingham is a must.

The plan is for you to sell products, services and new lines of products to the ever-growing client base. It would be perfect if you are walking into this with knowledge and technical understanding of transit packaging, or the wider packaging environment at the very least.

The role is signed off, and ready for you to come and join the business. If you're up for it, let's get the ball rolling. Send through your CV and we can schedule a call to answer any questions you may have. If you don't have a CV yet, pick up the phone and chat with Matt.
