We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Drama Teacher to join our secondary school in Maidenhead. This is a permanent role commencing in September 2024, where you will have the opportunity to teach Drama, including A Level Theatre Studies, to a diverse group of students.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Delivering engaging Drama lessons to students across different year groups, including A Level Theatre Studies.
- Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
- Assessing and recording students' progress and providing feedback to promote development.
- Creating a vibrant and dynamic classroom environment that stimulates learning and creativity.
- Directing school plays and productions, providing students with a platform to showcase their talents.
- Collaborating with colleagues to integrate drama across the curriculum.
- Participating in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school-wide events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Drama at secondary level, including A Level Theatre Studies.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
