Role: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum
Job Description: Our company is currently recruiting for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Cambridge. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical solutions for our range of products and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and evaluating mechanical systems and components
- Creating detailed drawings and specifications for manufacturing purposes
- Performing calculations and simulations to ensure the functionality and safety of designs
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to integrate mechanical systems
- Conducting tests and assessments to validate designs and identify improvements
- Maintaining documentation throughout the design process
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools (Solidworks)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience in a Consultancy would be beneficial but not essential
