Prospero Teaching is currently seeking CELTA Specialist Teaching Assistant who are interested in supporting students who speak English as an additional language.

_CELTA SPECIALIST TEACHING ASSISTANT JOB INFORMATION: _
A large, diverse, mixed Ofsted Outstanding secondary school located in Kensington and Chelsea who are seeking a CELTA Teaching Assistant Support students learning of English as an additional language. This role requires someone to tailor support to match the learners needs, observe, record and provide feedback on performance, tracking process of their language development. Ideally someone who has a passion for CELTA, someone who has knowledge of supporting people who speak additional languages.

_A FEW DUTIES ABOUT THIS CELTA SPECIALIST: _

  • CELTA Teaching Assistant Support students learning of English as an additional language. This role requires someone to tailor support to match the learners needs, observe, record and provide feedback on performance, tracking process of their language development.

Ideally someone who has a passion for CELTA, someone who has knowledge of supporting people
Liaising with teachers to develop and deliver high quality interventions for CELTA students.

_QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO FILL THIS CELTA SPECIALIST TEACHING ASSISTANT JOB: _

  • CELTA / TEFL / CELTA qualification

GCSES and A levels
Hours Required: 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday and Full-time ideally
You will also need eligibility to work in the UK and be willing to apply for DBS disclosure.
Rates of pay: GBP150 per day

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS CELTA TEACHING ASSISTANT?

As a CELTA Teaching Assistant you will be supporting students who speak English as a second language, support them within lessons and outside the classroom. You will try to ensure they are learning, you will develop and implement skills focussing on numeracy and literacy engage the students. This will build your knowledge of how students are monitored, data is analysed, and attainment is raised, and students are managed more effectively by teachers. As an CELTA Teaching Assistant, youll learn and implement strategies to support students engage with the curriculum.

WHAT WILL PROSPERO AND THE SCHOOL DO TO HELP ME IF I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE?
As a new member of staff, you will be given an induction by Prospero and allocated a line manager in the school, usually the Higher Learning Teaching Assistant and SENCO. These people will provide you with extensive guidance and support, you will also be supported by Prospero
