Job Title: Credit Controller

Location: Llantrisant area

Salary: up to £28,500 per annum, based on experience

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent on site

Môrwell Talent Solutions is delighted to be partnering with a well-known business in the Llantrisant area, assisting them in their search for a Credit Controller.

Reporting into the FC, the main duties of the role will include -

  • Responsible for all aspects of the sales ledger and credit control function for the organisation
  • To be the first contact for all customer invoice queries, ensuring each query is dealt with in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Run credit checks for all new customers and ensure all accounts comply with the company's credit terms.
  • Monitor customer balances to ensure all payments are received and paid in accordance with their agreed terms.
  • Issue weekly ledger and aged debtors report to the senior management team.
  • Review of the ledger balance report daily, deal with any discrepancies with the sales and reservation team and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Ensure all invoices are accurate and issued in a timely manner.
  • Take credit card payments via virtual cards and via the telephone.
  • Post all payments to the correct AR accounts and ensure timely and accurate allocation.
  • Chase overdue debtors and ensure the FC and Group FD are aware of any problematic accounts.
  • Reconcile the guest ledger and aged debtors and post a monthly journal to the accounting system.
  • Reconcile the resident's debtor balances and chase overdue accounts.
  • Assist other members of the finance team wherever possible.
  • Complete general administrative duties / ad-hoc reporting as and when required.

General

  • To assist the general finance operation as and when required.
  • To promote the company in a positive manner and carry out any responsible duties as required by the company.

  • Be polite, helpful and professional in manner.
  • A friendly, confident and outgoing personality is preferred.
  • Computer literate and have excellent telephone skills.
  • Proactive and detailed conscious with the ability to form strong relationships with internal colleagues and external customers.
  • An exceptional organiser with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages and able to pick up new systems quickly.
