We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a successful family-run precision manufacturing company, for a Machine Operative to work in the CNC Miscellaneous area. This permanent role offers a competitive hourly rate of £11.44 - £12.39, depending on experience, and the chance to join a growing company dedicated to quality and innovation.
Position: Machine Operative (CNC Area)
Salary: £11.44 - £12.39 per hour (DOE)
Location: Hythe
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent or Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours: 39 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm (½ hour unpaid lunch, 10-minute paid morning break), Friday 8am to 1pm
About Our Client: Our client is a leading family-run precision manufacturing business that specialises in producing high-quality components and assemblies for various industries. With a strong reputation for excellence, they are expanding their CNC operations and are looking for a skilled Machine Operative to join their team in the CNC Miscellaneous area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery, including the Grindmaster, and set up fixtures and jigs for milling and drilling.
- Perform tasks such as sawing, deburring, using a band saw, and general bench work.
- Produce high-quality parts while ensuring maximum efficiency and meeting production targets.
- Maintain attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in all tasks.
- Apply basic mathematical knowledge to ensure correct measurements and machine settings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a factory environment using machine shop equipment.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery and operations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and machine setup.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
