H&S Compliance Systems Coordinator - Belvedere, Manchester

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of the role is to support the Safety+ Team to provide Compliance System and CAFM support across the Savills property management portfolio.

Creative thinking is required to assist the Safety+ team in solving critical and complex problems within the compliance system domain and to positively enhance systems within the Property Management division.

Support site teams to understand their compliance requirements and assist in interpreting compliance documentation as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all managed sites comply with business requirements and statutory provisions and that the business obtains accurate visibility of this through proactive monitoring of systems.
  • Identify any areas of none compliance and take action with site teams and central colleagues to facilitate improvement.
  • Provide compliance management reporting to clients, the Head of Safety+ and other members of the senior Safety+ team by analysing compliance KPI performance and evaluating trends in none compliance and their root cause.
  • Provide advice, assistance and training to site based teams, employees, clients and suppliers on matters relating to system compliance.
  • Assist personnel through face to face meetings at a site level, teams calls and monitoring the compliance support email inbox, ensuring reference is made to other compliance advisors when necessary.
  • Produce compliance performance reports, at fixed regular intervals to clients and Savills management personnel.
  • Communicate effectively to clients, suppliers, managers and employees and hence, improve the overall performance of the business from a system compliance perspective.
  • Positively contribute to the integrated compliance management system encompassing Quality, Health & Safety, Site Security and Environment
  • Create user guides for site personnel and the Safety+ team to assist in the understanding of the compliance systems
  • Conduct all Compliance System Administration functions ensuring that the system is cleansed
  • Assist in mobilisation and off boarding of sites coming in and out of the portfolio ensuring that welcome packs and training is provided in a timely manner

Candidates will be required to demonstrate the following:

  • Effective management and coaching skills and the ability to relate to, engage with and motivate clients, suppliers, site managers and employees.
  • An outgoing, friendly, approachable personality with great people skills, able to facilitate a multi-faceted complex series of tasks
  • A focused individual with the self-drive to identify priorities and complete tasks fully
  • Have a clear understanding of compliance data and auditing needs
  • Excellent keyboard and data skills
  • Highly motivated with a passionate outlook

Desirable

  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Developed project management skills

Working Hours - 9.00am – 17.30pm
