Job Title: Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
Band: 6 or 7, depending on experience
Caseload: Acute and Stroke Rehab Wards
Location: Based in Crewe, Cheshire
Job Type: Part-Time (Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30)
Contract Duration: Locum position until March 2024, with review for extension
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the team. You will work on the acute and stroke rehabilitation wards, focusing on delivering high-quality care to adult patients with speech, language, and swallowing difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to patients in acute and stroke rehab wards.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans.
- Conduct assessments and provide treatment for dysphagia and other communication disorders.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Experience working on acute wards
- Previous experience in stroke wards desirable
- Dysphagia trained
