About the Role

The Bank Residential Support Worker will be responsible to support residents with a range of issues which could include but is not exclusive of managing their mental/physical health successfully, maximising their independence (includes budgeting, menu planning, cooking etc), exploring education opportunities and maintaining a presence in the community.

This role is a Zero-hour contract. The role involves a blend of shifts including early mornings and late evenings, and a variety of shorter and longer shifts.

Please note that all roles require a satisfactory DBS check.

Key Tasks

Client Support & Coordination

  • To undertake regular assessments of the client's needs and to identify outcomes in conjunction with the resident and other partners as appropriate.
  • To devise individual support plans in partnership with each client (working within the recovery and outcome focused model of delivery) and to ensure that these are reviewed within agreed timescales and in conjunction with other partners as appropriate. Support plans to be implemented from the commencement of support and reviewed/updated regularly or when outcomes are reached, and other outcomes identified.

Safeguarding

  • To complete risk assessments and report any safeguarding issues through the appropriate channels.

Teamwork & Collaboration

  • To undertake

sleep-in duties

to cover for colleagues during absences, (sickness/annual leave) as and when required and to ensure that appropriate information is conveyed to colleagues regarding support tasks before planned leave.

Record Keeping & Documentation

  • To maintain clear and concise, factual notes in relation to the service provided to each client, including recording of every contact with the client together with any duties or contacts made as part of the support package.

Relationship Building

  • To develop and maintain a good working knowledge of community resources which may be relevant to the needs of clients and share where appropriate.
