What you'll do:

As Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future vision and execution of the company. You will be responsible for all things finance, managing a growing team and leading the business through a period of rapid growth. Your broad remit will include reporting, tax, ad-hoc analysis, fundraising support, and ensuring compliance with all applicable financial regulations. You will also have the opportunity to design, build and implement world-class financial systems as the company expands internationally.

  • Deputise for the CFO regularly, acting as a key advisor for ExCo and a leader within the team
  • Support the CFO in developing the Finance function
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ensure world class accounting and reporting function
  • Prepare annual report and accounts, monthly consolidated financial statements and monthly board packs
  • Manage regulatory reporting commitments across different jurisdictions
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulation
  • Identify and proactively manage all financial risks
  • Design, build and implement world class financial systems to support international expansion
  • Manage, support and develop more junior members of the team

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Group Financial Controller role will bring solid experience at Financial Controller level including people management, core technical accounting (under IFRS and UK GAAP), commercially-focused budget management. You will have proven experience managing reporting across multiple geographies and building systems to support international expansion. Your excellent planning, organisation and time-management skills will be key in this fast-paced environment. Your ability to work with a high level of accuracy under strict deadlines will be crucial to your success in this role.

  • ACA/ACCA or CIMA Qualified (or equivalent) with 8+ years PQE
  • Solid experience at Financial Controller level including people management, core technical accounting (under IFRS and UK GAAP), commercially-focused budget management
  • Experience managing reporting across multiple geographies
  • Experience establishing new processes and procedures in short timeframes
  • Relevant industry experience within Fintech, Financial Services, Payments
  • Experience with multiple financial accounting systems (preferably NetSuite)
  • Excellent planning, organisation and time-management skills
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
